This workshop will provide students with instruction in introductory painting techniques. They will experiment with color theory as they mix their own paint and blend colors, exploring tints and shades. Instruction will focus on shape, form, and composition as the students work with still-life, landscapes, and portraits. Using an array of different materials such as acrylics, watercolors, and tempera, the students will create artworks in a variety of styles.
